Hugo Zuccarelli descubrió cómo funciona la audición en el ser humano. La ironía es que pocos han oído hablar sobre su hallazgo y sus teorías.  Esta es la historia de un hombre que comprendió que todo lo que nos han enseñado sobre el sonido estéreo es apenas un fragmento del verdadero potencial del oído humano, y al crear un sistema de sonido superior -la holofonía- acaparó la atención de artistas de la talla de Roger Waters, Paul McCartney y Michael Jackson. Con todos ellos, y más, comparte anécdotas, desencuentros y recuerdos no siempre gratos. A través de este documental, Zuccarelli explica sus inventos, pero también muestra su particular mirada sobre la ciencia y la tecnología en un mundo que no está siempre dispuesto a avanzar. //

Hugo Zuccarelli discovered how hearing works. The irony is almost no one has ever heard of him. This is the story of a man who understood sound and by doing so amused such talents as Roger Waters, Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, by creating holophonics, a three-dimensional audio system that might just be the best sound system around. And yet, the industry has yet to adopt it or even recognize it. The reason for it might just be that the world (or current mainstream industry) isn’t ready yet for holophonics, or maybe that its creator is right: there are some powerful forces that don’t want you to experience this. Throughout this documentary Zuccarelli explains his theory, remembers the many times he almost got it right with the powers that be, and fights for everyone to get to know the one thing he believes that needs to be out there: the whole truth about sound.

El documental tuvo su estreno en el Festival Internacional de Documentales de Buenos Aires (FIDBA), edición 2021 (diciembre / enero / febrero). También participó del Cinematic European Film Festival (Rumania, diciembre 2021) y fue parte de la selección oficial del Actrum Internation Film Fest (Madrid, 2022).
